Another dreamy day in Paris – and this one is for the foodies! 🇫🇷✨ In this vlog, we eat our way through some of the most iconic (and affordable!) French spots in the city while soaking in postcard-perfect views from Notre-Dame to the Louvre. If you’re looking for the best French onion soup, croissants, and crème brûlée in Paris – you’re in the right place.

🍽️ What’s in this vlog?
✔️ Late breakfast/lunch at Bistrot du Jardin – famous for the cheapest (€8!) and best French onion soup and steak tartare in Paris 🥩🧅
✔️ Stroll to the stunning Notre-Dame Cathedral 🏰
✔️ A stop at La Maison d’Isabelle – home of the “best croissant in Paris” 🥐
✔️ Cozy break at the legendary Café de Flore for rich hot chocolate and crème brûlée ☕🔥
✔️ Magical golden hour walk through the Louvre courtyard and photos under the glass pyramid 🖼️✨
✔️ Dinner at Bouillon Pigalle – beloved for its authentic and affordable French cuisine. Was it worth the hype? (Full review soon on the blog!) 🍷🍽️

🎯 This vlog is perfect if you’re planning a trip to Paris and want to experience iconic French food without breaking the bank. It’s all about atmosphere, taste, and those unforgettable Parisian moments.

👉 Let me know in the comments: Have you tried any of these places? Where should we go next in Paris?

🎭 Two weeks since the Grease premiere in Gothenburg and somehow we still haven’t shared some of our favourite shots from that night! 📸✨

Looking through these photos again, I can almost feel that energy.
The music, the atmosphere, the excitement of premiere night… and most importantly, the pure joy of everyone on stage ❤️

Because one of the things I love most about live theatre is watching performers genuinely enjoy what they’re doing.
And trust me, you can SEE it.

For us at @marriedlenses, that’s also what makes theatre photography so special.
Trying to capture those little moments that last only a second, but tell an entire story.

So here’s a little throwback to a night full of music, laughter and some seriously infectious stage energy.
A huge thank you once again for having us at the premiere! 🤍

Which photo is your favourite? 👀

🎭 Last week in Swedish theatre and musical theatre:

🐶 UPDATE (error on slides) Legally Blonde – The Musical has finally found its four-legged stars! After this summer’s dog auditions, six dogs will alternate as Bruiser (Daisy, Flisan, Frasse, Hugo, Selma och Texas*) and three as Rufus (Coco, Annie, Samson*) when the musical opens at Södra Teatern in Stockholm on 16 October.

⚔️ Spamalot is back in Sweden with an updated production at Nöjesteatern in Malmö. Samuel Fröler leads as King Arthur alongside Kim Sulocki, Anders “Ankan” Johansson, Anki Albertsson and Morgan Alling in Monty Python’s gloriously ridiculous musical comedy.

🎭 After becoming a hit at Soppteatern, Claes och Andreas leker affär is moving to a bigger stage. Claes Eriksson and Andreas T Olsson’s revue reopens at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern’s Lilla scen on 17 October, with some new material added for the extended run.

🎓 Twelve emerging actors, twelve brand-new productions. Third-year acting students at Stockholm University of the Arts are presenting their own solo shows during Departure 2026, a completely free theatre festival running 10–17 October.

👶 And Göteborgs Stadsteater is trying something we love: theatre with babies. Parents can bring their little ones into the auditorium, move around, leave and return and nobody minds if the baby makes noise. The first Teater med bebis features En mycket liten människa on 13 October.

🇸🇪 Happy Kanelbullens dag! 🥳

Today, October 4, Sweden comes together for one very important national responsibility:

keeping the kanelbulle economy alive. 🫡😂

Bakeries are prepared.
Offices are stocked.
Fika tables are ready.
And somewhere, someone is buying an absolutely unreasonable number of cinnamon buns and calling it tradition.

As they should.

Kanelbullens dag has been celebrated since 1999, and honestly, I fully support a country that dedicates an entire day to one pastryb😭❤️

Whether you bake them yourself, grab one from your favourite bakery or somehow end up eating three because “it’s literally Kanelbullens dag”…

Today, calories are culturally necessary 🇸🇪

So the important question:

How many kanelbullar are you contributing to the Swedish economy today? 👀😂

1️⃣ Save this important piece of Swedish financial education
2️⃣ Send it to someone who owes you a kanelbulle today

🇸🇪 Can ice cream replace a kanelbulle? 👀🍦

A potentially dangerous question to ask one day before Kanelbullens dag… but IKEA decided we needed answers 😂

They’ve launched kanelbulle-flavoured soft serve for just 9 SEK, so obviously I had to investigate.

You can find it at IKEA stores across Sweden, except Gävle and Borlänge.

But tomorrow is still Kanelbullens dag, so let’s be reasonable here:
Why choose between them when you can have both? 🫡🇸🇪

Now tell me, have you already tried IKEA’s kanelbulle ice cream? And does it get your approval? 👀

1️⃣ Save this for your next IKEA trip
2️⃣ Send it to someone who takes kanelbullar VERY seriously 😂

🇸🇪 Which stage of moving to Sweden are you currently in? 😂

Moving to another country really does come in stages:
✨ OMG I actually did it! New country, new life, everything is exciting.
🇸🇪 Wait… I understand absolutely NOTHING.
📄 Why does this simple administrative task require 17 steps and three months?
🫠 Was moving here actually a terrible idea?
😌 Oh. Wait. This is just… home now.

And I think most of us move between these stages more than once.

You can love Sweden and still complain about something that makes absolutely no sense.
You can feel at home here and still miss things from somewhere else.
You can be grateful for your life AND get personally offended by Swedish bureaucracy on a Tuesday morning 😂

Eventually, you stop comparing every little thing and just build a life that works for you.

And somewhere along the way, Sweden stops feeling like the country you moved to and starts feeling like home 🤍🇸🇪

So… which stage are YOU currently in? 👀

🍦 IKEA is launching a soft-serve ice cream that tastes like a Swedish cinnamon bun. It costs about 80 eurocents.

Two things have been sacred at IKEA in Sweden for decades - the soft-serve ice cream and the kanelbulle (cinnamon bun). Both cost pocket change. The kanelbulle has actually been on the menu since the early 1960s.

Now IKEA Sweden is combining them. Starting September 29th, you can grab a cinnamon bun-flavoured soft-serve at every IKEA bistro in Sweden - except Borlänge and Gävle. Nine kronor 🍯

The timing is on purpose. October 4th is Kanelbullens dag - Cinnamon Bun Day - basically a national excuse to eat cinnamon buns. IKEA is jumping in early. 🇸🇪

Would you try it? 👀 Should I try it on video? 🤔

📚 We thought one day at Bokmässan would be enough.

We went on Saturday, saw approximately 2% of everything happening… and came back on Sunday for almost the entire day.

Because Bokmässan is technically a book fair, but in reality it’s more like:
📚 dangerously good book deals
🎤 talks & discussions about EVERYTHING
🎲 board games
🧶 crafts
🍯 local products
🦭 and apparently… smoked seal meat

Yes. We tried it.
My review: smoked mackerel flavour + chicken liver texture.
Tomas’ review: “wet basement.”
I think we can end the culinary journalism there 😭

The talks were probably my favourite part. There were literally thousands of programme points, so you could jump from culture to politics, society, history, literature and completely random topics all day.

My only wish for next year? Longer talks! So many were only around 15 minutes, and just when the conversation started getting interesting… thank you, goodbye 🥲

Give me at least 30-45 minutes and fewer programme points ANY day.

But considering we planned one day, accidentally did two and still didn’t see everything…
yeah, we’re definitely coming back next year 😂📚

Have you ever been to Bokmässan? And what was YOUR favourite part? 👀
