🇸🇪💼 Let’s talk entrepreneurship in Sweden.

Many Swedish business owners play it safe: working 9–5, running their business on the side, and often never fully taking the leap. It’s comfortable, but the truth is… many never leave that double-job phase. Some even give up because the results don’t show fast enough.

Meanwhile, many foreigners starting businesses here, especially from Western Europe, Poland, or the US, dive in headfirst. They take risks, invest early, and understand the power of strong branding, websites, and social media presence. They know DIY won’t skyrocket growth — strategy will.

✨ And here’s the shift: things are changing. More and more brave people in Sweden are ready to chase their dreams with a new mindset. The best time to start? Today. Tomorrow might already be too late.

🏰✨ Most people think Sweden’s castles are all in Skåne but Tjolöholm in Halland proves otherwise

This fairytale castle was built between 1898–1904 for Blanche Dickson, inspired by English Tudor style and the Arts & Crafts movement. At the time it was one of the most modern homes in Sweden – with electricity, central heating, and even futuristic bathrooms that look like something from a sci-fi movie.

🌿 Around the castle you’ll find award-winning gardens, walking trails, a small historic village, and even a beach by the sea, all free to explore. Inside, guided tours take you through 35 richly decorated rooms filled with original furniture and Art Nouveau details.

⏳ Plan 2–3 hours if you want to see both the castle and the grounds. There’s also a café, exhibitions, a museum in the old village, and seasonal events like Christmas markets.

🌳 Stroll the gardens, beach & historic village for free
🎟 Guided castle tour: 185 SEK adults / 75 SEK kids
🎟 Explore at your own pace: 170 SEK adults / 45 SEK kids

Perfect for history, photos & a day trip by the sea 🌊

🚨 Don’t make our mistake – don’t book ARK Canary Wharf 🚨

On paper this London hotel looks like a dream: tiny but modern rooms with a comfy bed, wardrobe and kitchenette, coworking space downstairs, a café, and luggage storage. The location in Canary Wharf is amazing – one of the most beautiful and safe areas to stay in London.

But reality? No air conditioning – which we knew about and would’ve been fine with – if only the ventilation actually worked. After a sleepless night of travel, we spent the first hour in our room with the fan on full speed and the door wide open… and still, I felt like I couldn’t breathe. I was so exhausted and overwhelmed I almost cried.

We went downstairs to reception and begged for help. They promised to move us after our walk, but when we came back, they tried to brush us off. Only when I firmly insisted that this wasn’t what we were promised did they finally give us a second fan and move us to another room. It was still hot but at least the ventilation worked a little, giving us some airflow and making it possible to survive the week.

And then the pool… beautiful in photos, but in reality flooded floors and dirty water with hair and band-aids floating around. We tried it once, never again.

✔️ The good: convenient Canary Wharf location, luggage storage, coworking space.

❌ The bad: unbearable heat, broken ventilation, unhelpful staff, dirty pool.

Would we recommend ARK Canary Wharf? No.
Would we recommend Canary Wharf, London? Absolutely yes.

The most underrated hidden gem near Gothenburg? 👉 Götaforsliden in Mölndal.

Just 15 minutes from the city center, this old industrial district takes you straight back in time.

Once the powerhouse of Sweden’s paper and textile industry, today it’s a place where history, museums, and photography vibes come together.

✨ Here’s why you need to visit Götaforsliden:

🏛 Mölndal Museum + other local museums: free entry, and packed with exhibitions about industry, everyday life, and Swedish culture.

🌊 The historic Götafors factory building: beautiful red-brick walls and cobblestone alleys that feel like a movie set.

📸 One of the most Instagrammable spots near Gothenburg: perfect for moody, atmospheric photos in every season.

🌿 A chance to explore Swedish history in a way that feels real, authentic, and hands-on.

You’ll hear the sound of the river, walk between historic walls, and discover stories that shaped both Mölndal and Göteborg.

If you’re planning your Gothenburg itinerary, don’t just stick to Liseberg, Haga, or Slottsskogen. Add Mölndal to your list and give yourself a day to explore. Trust me - this is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve unlocked a true Swedish secret.

💸 1,000 kr for a train to Gothenburg… one way. Yes, really.

SJ’s dynamic pricing means if you book early you can get it for 200 kr but wait until the last minute and it can cost more than a flight to Spain ✈️

Journalist Per J Andersson calls it “too expensive,” and I agree. Trains should be the affordable, obvious choice, not a luxury item.

👉 Look at Poland: book early and you get discounts, sure. But the base price stays fair, so even if you travel last minute you don’t feel robbed.

SJ argues their system keeps trains from running empty. But honestly - what’s the point of green, fast trains if people end up taking the plane because it’s cheaper?

So tell me… would you pay 1,000 kr for 3 hours on a train? Or would you just fly?
