This weekend, we hosted an amazing silver jewellery-making workshop in the heart of Göteborg, led by the incredibly talented Stefan Salomonsson (@s.salomonssonjewelry), a master silversmith with over 20 years of experience. Together with his colleague Signe, Stefan guided us through designing and creating unique silver rings - from hammering textures to polishing the perfect finish. 🛠💍

The workshop was held in Stefan’s cozy studio, surrounded by creativity, good vibes, and even two adorable dogs, who made sure we didn’t miss out on any cuddles. 🐾✨

🔴 What is your view on Systembolaget?

My alcohol consumption limits to just few times a year, mainly when I’m travelling and have a chance to try local alcohols, beers or wines.
Also, 90 seconds is too short to include all nuances and all angles I’m looking at this matter.

That being said, in general I’m not against.

Systembolaget offers wide range of products in one place and people who work there know all products really well so they’re able to advice you and help you with even most complicated questions.

Limited hours are not a problem neither, I think usually all shopping may be planned just like we plan our groceries. It’s more of a surprise for tourists who hadn’t known Systembolaget exists before they come and learn the hard way.

But I understand the voices against such strict alcohol policy. In that case, it’s hard for me to make a clear statement on this issue as a person who might not necessarily be the target group of the product itself.

This is why I’d gladly hear what you have to say 🫶

🔴 What is your view on Systembolaget?

One of the many advantages of Systembolaget (not including those obvious ones) is undoubtedly the variety of the available assortment. You will most likely find popular alcohols from all over the world here, carefully sorted so that you can easily find your way around them.

For me, this is one of the signs of responsible drinking, as it encourages tasting rather than just getting drunk.

Also worth noting is the staff training - people working at Systembolaget know the products they sell and can give great advice and answer even the most detailed questions. Matching the best wine to goulash or finding the perfect drink for a planned dinner? No problem.

That’s why I appreciate the existence of Systembolaget more than the possibility of buying alcohol anywhere - you can plan your purchases, and at least you can be sure that you will always find what you are looking for.

We all have different paths of how we chose Sweden for our place to live. I can’t wait to hear your stories 🥰

Mine started in 2011 - back then I started high school and… gaming YouTube channel in Poland. I was one of the first people recording Minecraft videos and… that’s how I’ve met my future husband. In Minecraft multiplayer.

He’s from Poland too but at that time he lived in Sweden with his family. I started visiting really often and fell in love with the country from the very first visit.

And although I knew even as a kid I want to move abroad one day, I’d never think I’d end up in Sweden instead of London or other place in the UK 😅
