I know you can buy Smash in similar price but it’s usually on sale.

And it’s only Smash in the video but Lidl imported many more different products and sells them cheaper than you can buy them here, in Sweden 😭 Which was noticed and commented by Swedes and Norwegians under many videos regarding Lidl’s Scandinavian Week.

Vets are relatively expensive, especially if something happens (let’s pray nothing happen during weekend) and more serious treatment is needed. Two years ago we woke up to one lost tooth on the floor - it turned out it was our cat’s. We visited the vet the same day, it turned out she suffers from TR - disease we later on learned is not covered with most insurance packages on Swedish market. We paid over 10.000kr for the treatment and that’s how we found Lassie.

Lassie insures our pets from then on, we had opportunity to use their help a few times and we’ve never had any problems. Payments were always quick and they weren’t trying to reject our case (which happened all the time with our previous companies - if we got help, it wasn’t without a fight).

🇫🇷 Tip for public transport in Paris 🚌🚇

Metro in Paris is quite behind the one in London and it’s worth remembering when visiting the city.

You can use either paper tickets from the machines or Navigo card (that costs extra €2 on top of ticket prices). There’s also mobile app where you can purchase your tickets and scan them as Navigo (if only your phone has NFC - Apple/Google Pay).

All options have their downsides, of course 😅

❌ Paper tickets demagnetise easily and stop working, can’t be purchased on all stations.
❌ Navigo card is extra cost (small but still, we were in such great location, we barely needed to use public transportation).
❌ Mobile app - it just loves stopping working when you need it the most so make sure you load it far in advance.

Eventually, we almost got late for airport bus because our metro station didn’t have printing machine to buy tickets and mobile app decided to have malfunction (not the first one during our 5 day stay, in fact, we only managed to use it once 🤣).

🇫🇷 Tip for public transport in Paris 🚌🚇

🔴 Fössta Tossdan i Mass 🥳

As I am a former Småland-resident, “First Thurdsay in March” will forever take an important place in my heart 💙💛

It’s an unofficial holiday for the dialects of Småland that has been celebrated since 2010. The day was chosen because it contains many “R”s, which makes the phrase particularly distinctive in several Småland dialects. It is also called Småland’s national day 😎

The phenomenon was founded by Jonas Svenningson and his sister, whose aunt had said “fössta mass” in a broad dialect. They further developed this with “tossdan” so that it became “fössta tossdan i mass”.

I was even more surprised, seeing announcements of it here, in Göteborg, when I was testing semlor (full video available on my YouTube). Fössta Tossdan i Mass wasn’t a thing at all in Skåne while I was living there but maybe this appearance in Göteborg makes more sense? 😅
