Why this feels different

Not a photo shoot. A walk that happens to be photographed.

01

Two photographers, two angles

One of us works close and warm, the other steps back for the city around you. You get both, from the same moment.

02

Guidance, not posing drills

Small directions: where to stand, where to walk, what to look at. No stiff hands-on-hips choreography, and nothing you have to rehearse.

03

You're in the city, not on a set

Cobblestones, cafés, harbour light, park paths. The walk is part of the experience, so it feels like an hour out rather than an hour of work.

04

Edited gallery within seven days

A private online gallery with all the finished photos. You download 20 of your favourites as part of the price, and you can add more whenever you like.

Choose your Gothenburg

Five routes. Five different versions of the city.

Each route is planned as a comfortable one-hour walk with a fixed meeting point, so there's no guessing on the day. Not sure which one suits you? Pick the atmosphere you like and we'll take care of the rest.

Wooden landshövdingehus and cobbled street in Haga, Gothenburg

Route 01

Haga

Meeting point: Järntorget

Cobbled streets, traditional wooden landshövdingehus, cafés and shopfronts, quiet courtyards and small historic details. Relaxed old-town character, all within an easy hour on flat ground.

Atmosphere

CosyTimelessWarmRomanticUnmistakably Gothenburg

Best for

Solo travellers, couples, groups of friends, and anyone who wants the classic Gothenburg feeling in their photos.

Seasonal strengths

Warm and sheltered all year. Soft light in spring and autumn, glowing windows and lit streets in winter, long golden evenings in summer.

Dogs are welcome on this route.

Green park path under mature trees in Slottsskogen, Gothenburg ROUTE_SLOTTSSKOGEN_COVER_URL

Route 02

Slottsskogen

Meeting point: Linnéplatsen

Green paths, mature trees, open lawns, natural textures and calm park scenery close to Linnéplatsen. We stay within comfortable walking distance, so the hour is spent making photos rather than hiking. We don't cover the whole park in one hour.

Atmosphere

NaturalSoftPlayfulFamily-friendlySeasonal

Best for

Families and children, dogs, maternity photos, and anyone who prefers calm greenery to city streets.

Seasonal strengths

Fresh green and blossom in spring, shade and long light in summer, deep colour in autumn, quiet bare-branch minimalism in winter.

Dogs are welcome on this route.

Götaplatsen with the Poseidon statue and the art museum façade in Gothenburg

Route 03

Götaplatsen & Avenyn

Meeting point: Götaplatsen

The Poseidon statue, the façade of the Gothenburg Museum of Art, the Concert Hall and the cultural architecture around the square, then down Avenyn and into the calmer side streets, with city lights when the hour suits it.

Atmosphere

ElegantUrbanEditorialStylishEnergetic

Best for

Solo portraits, couples, birthdays, and anyone who wants a polished city look with strong architecture behind them.

Seasonal strengths

Bright open light in spring and summer, warm reflections in autumn, and a beautiful lit-city feeling on dark winter afternoons.

Dogs are welcome on this route.

Waterfront and industrial textures near Röda Sten with the Älvsborg bridge in the distance

Route 04

Nya Varvet, Klippan & Röda Sten

Meeting point: Nya Varvet

Harbour and waterfront views, rocky and industrial textures, the Röda Sten area with its graffiti and murals, the Älvsborgsbron overhead and a lot of open space. This is the west-side waterfront, not Älvsborg Fortress.

Atmosphere

CinematicRawArtisticDramaticIndustrialCoastal

Best for

Couples, creative and moody portraits, and anyone who wants something less traditional than an old-town backdrop.

Seasonal strengths

Big skies and sea light all year. Especially strong in windy, moody weather and at sunset, when the bridge and the water do most of the work.

Dogs are welcome on this route.

Elegant garden path and seasonal flowers in Trädgårdsföreningen, Gothenburg

Route 05

Central Station & Trädgårdsföreningen

Meeting point: outside Pressbyrån at Göteborg Central Station

Drottningtorget and the station area, the Hotel Eggers façade, then across into Trädgårdsföreningen with its elegant paths and seasonal flowers, the Rosarium when it's in bloom and the Palmhuset exterior. We visit interiors only when they're open and practical, so we can't promise access to buildings or a particular flower display.

Atmosphere

RomanticFloralElegantCentralBrightClassic

Best for

Couples, birthdays and anniversaries, visitors arriving by train, and anyone who loves flowers and a soft, classic look.

Seasonal strengths

Blossom and fresh green in spring, roses in early summer, warm colour in autumn, and bright architecture plus city lights in winter.

No dogs on this route. Dogs are not allowed inside Trädgårdsföreningen, including dogs on a lead. Assistance and guide dogs are exempt under the applicable rules. If your dog is joining, please choose one of the other four routes.

Perfect for

One hour that works for almost any reason.

Solo travellers

Come home with real photos of yourself in the city, not another arm's-length selfie.

Couples

An hour together with no phones to hand round. Even the partner who “doesn't do photos” usually relaxes by minute ten.

Families with children

Kids can move, run and be themselves. We work around them instead of asking them to sit still.

Groups of friends

Up to four people, one price. A good excuse to walk, talk and finally get a photo you all like.

Life in Sweden

You live here, so you rarely photograph it. This is your city, on a normal ordinary day, done properly.

Visiting Gothenburg

A souvenir with you in it. You also get a local's walking route as part of the hour.

Birthdays & anniversaries

Book these directly in the calendar. Tell us the occasion when you book and we'll keep it in mind.

Every season

Spring blossom, summer evenings, autumn colour, winter lights. Each one gives a different set of photos.

Proposals & special plans

Proposals, maternity sessions and one-time surprises need a quick email first, so we can plan them properly. Get in touch.

All year round

There isn't a wrong month. Only different light.

Gothenburg looks completely different in February and in July, and both are worth photographing. Here's what each season gives you.

Spring

Blossom, fresh greens and clean, gentle light. The city wakes up and everything feels a little lighter.

Summer

Long evenings that stay golden for hours. Late walks, warm skin tones, cafés and water everywhere.

Autumn

Colour and texture at their best. Leaves, coats, low sun and that particular Nordic softness after rain.

Winter

Our favourite surprise. Lit streets, blue-hour skies, scarves and steam from a takeaway coffee. Winter photos have a mood the summer ones can't copy.

How it works

From booking to finished photos in about a week.

Choose a route and a date

Pick the route you like and a time that suits you in the calendar. Payment is made when you book, so nothing is left open.

Tell us who's joining

Number of people, children, a dog, the occasion, anything we should know. A few sentences is enough.

Meet us and enjoy the walk

We meet at the exact point on your route card, say hello, and start walking. One hour, two cameras, no rush.

Get your private gallery within seven days

A private online gallery with all the finished, professionally edited photos we've selected from the walk.

Download your 20 included photos

Choose any 20 from the gallery and download them in high resolution as part of the price.

Good to know

Questions people ask before booking

I'm awkward in front of a camera. Will this work for me?

This is the most common thing people tell us, and the walk is built around it. You're moving, looking at the city and talking to the people you came with, which is much easier than standing still and being told to smile.

We give simple directions — where to stand, which way to walk, where the light is good — and take most photos while you're between poses. Most people forget about the cameras within the first ten minutes.

My partner really doesn't enjoy photo shoots.

Fair enough. Tell them it's an hour's walk through a nice part of Gothenburg with no posing homework, and that it ends at a fixed time. There's no long setup, no equipment to wait for and no “one more, but look natural this time”.

If someone needs a break, we walk and chat instead. It usually solves itself.

My children won't pose. Is that a problem?

No, and honestly the photos are better when they don't. Children can run, climb, ask questions and get distracted. We follow them rather than trying to hold them still, and having two photographers means one of us can stay with the kids while the other photographs the adults.

Slottsskogen is the easiest route with small children, but all five work.

What if it rains?

Light rain and normal changeable Gothenburg weather don't cancel a session, and wet cobblestones photograph beautifully. Bring a jacket, and an umbrella if you like — they make good props.

If conditions are genuinely unsafe or unsuitable, such as a storm, heavy rain or extreme wind, we'll say so. If we cancel for weather, you choose a new available date or get a full refund. We'll never push you to walk in unsafe conditions.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, on four of the five routes: Haga, Slottsskogen, Götaplatsen & Avenyn, and Nya Varvet, Klippan & Röda Sten.

Dogs are not allowed inside Trädgårdsföreningen, including dogs on a lead, so route 05 isn't an option with a dog. Assistance and guide dogs are exempt under the applicable rules. Please tell us about your dog when you book.

Will it feel like a stiff, formal photo shoot?

No. It's a walk with two people who happen to be photographing you. We talk, we point things out, we stop where the light is good and then we keep going. The hour goes quickly.

Why two photographers?

Because one camera can only be in one place. While one of us photographs the close, warm moments, the other is further back framing you in the street, the park or the harbour.

You end up with two perspectives on the same minute, and with families and groups it means nobody gets left out of the frame.

What happens after the session?

We select and edit the photos, and within seven days you receive a link to a private online gallery containing all the finished photographs. There's no waiting for weeks and no drip-feed of previews.

From the gallery you download any 20 photographs in high resolution, included in the price.

Can I buy more photographs later?

Yes. Additional digital photographs can be purchased directly from your gallery, and so can professional prints, framed prints, canvases and other photo products. It's completely optional. The 20 included downloads are yours either way.

Do I get the RAW files?

No. You receive professionally edited, high-resolution JPG photographs. RAW files, rejected frames and test shots aren't delivered, and the editing style and selection stay our professional choice — that's what makes the gallery look consistent.

Can I book a proposal or another surprise?

We'd love to, but please email us first instead of booking straight away. Proposals, maternity sessions and one-time surprises deserve a short conversation about timing, position and how discreet we should be.

Write to karolina@likesweden.com and we'll plan it with you. The same applies to groups larger than four, accessibility needs that could affect the route, locations outside the five standard routes and commercial use.

Will my photos be published anywhere?

Not unless you specifically say yes, afterwards. You always get your complete private gallery first. Later we may send a separate email asking whether we may show a few selected photos in our portfolio, and you choose which images and which channels.

Saying no changes nothing about your booking or your gallery, and you can withdraw permission for future use at any time.

What if I need to cancel or move my session?

More than 14 full days before the session: a full refund, or one free rescheduling. From 14 days until 48 hours before: no refund, but one free rescheduling. Less than 48 hours before: no refund and no guaranteed rescheduling.

The full details, including weather, late arrival and our own cancellations, are in the .

Booking Terms & Conditions

Göteborg Photo Walk with LikeSweden · Version 1.0 (draft) · Effective from: 1.09.2026

Working draft. These terms are complete and ready to use as a basis, but they should be reviewed by a Swedish lawyer before publication. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer law.

1. Parties and how the contract is formed

The service is provided by Karolina Anna Pikus, sole trader (enskild firma), organisation number 950618-3764, Stjärnbildsgatan 120 lgh 1002, 415 67 Göteborg, Sweden (“we”, “us”, “the photographers”). You are the person who books the session (“you”, “the customer”).

A binding contract is formed when you complete the booking, accept these terms and payment is confirmed, and you receive a booking confirmation by email.

2. The service

The Göteborg Photo Walk is a private, one-hour, outdoor photo walk in Gothenburg for up to four participants, guided by two photographers using two professional cameras. It includes relaxed posing guidance and candid photography, at least 20 professionally edited JPG photographs, and a private online gallery delivered within seven days containing all the finished photographs we have selected.

You may download any 20 photographs from the gallery free of charge as part of the package. Additional digital photographs, professional prints, framed prints, canvases and other physical products may be purchased separately.

3. Price and payment

The price is fixed for the whole group and is stated on the booking page. Payment is collected in advance, in Swedish kronor (SEK), through our booking provider Cal.com. Prices shown in EUR, USD or PLN on the landing page are approximate reference conversions based on the store's current exchange rates and are not the amount charged.

4. Booking confirmation

Your booking is confirmed by email. Please check the date, time, route and meeting point immediately and tell us at once if anything is wrong.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Arrive on time at the meeting point stated for your route.
  • Tell us during booking how many people are joining, whether children are joining and whether a dog is joining.
  • Dress for the weather and for walking outdoors.
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions from the photographers, and respect traffic rules and other people in public spaces.
  • Make sure every adult participant knows they will be photographed.

6. Route choice

You choose one of the five published routes. Routes are planned as comfortable one-hour walks and the exact path may vary slightly depending on weather, light, crowds, works or events. We cannot guarantee access to buildings, interiors or a particular seasonal flower display, and we cannot guarantee that any specific landmark will be photographed.

A location outside the five published routes must be agreed with us in writing before booking.

7. Special occasions

Ordinary birthdays and anniversaries can be booked directly. Please contact us by email before booking a proposal, a maternity session, a surprise or one-time moment that cannot be repeated, a group larger than four people, accessibility needs that may affect the route, a location outside the five routes, commercial or business use, or any unusual logistics. We will confirm in writing what is possible.

8. Outdoor conditions and weather

  • The session takes place outdoors. Light rain and normal changeable Gothenburg weather do not automatically cancel a session.
  • The photographers decide whether conditions are unsafe or unsuitable because of heavy rain, storms, extreme wind or another serious weather issue.
  • If we cancel because of weather, you may choose a new available date or a full refund of the photo-walk fee.
  • We will never pressure you to proceed in conditions we consider unsafe.

9. Cancellation and rescheduling by you

  • More than 14 full days before the scheduled session: full refund, or one free rescheduling, as you prefer.
  • From 14 days until 48 hours before the session: no refund, but one free rescheduling.
  • Less than 48 hours before the session: no refund and no guaranteed rescheduling.
  • A rescheduled session must take place within a maximum of two months from the original session date, subject to availability.
  • Only one free rescheduling is included, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
  • Documented exceptional circumstances (for example sudden illness with documentation) may be reviewed individually. Such a review is offered in good faith and does not create an automatic entitlement.

These are the terms we have agreed with you contractually. They do not replace or reduce any rights you may have under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer law.

10. Statutory right of withdrawal

A private photo walk is a service performed on a date and time agreed in advance, and services of that kind may fall within the exception to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for leisure activities supplied on a specific date or period. We do not claim with certainty that the withdrawal right never applies to this service, and its precise legal classification has not been finally determined.

Where a statutory right of withdrawal does apply and cannot lawfully be excluded, that right stands and takes precedence over the cancellation ladder in section 9. Booking a session less than 14 days before the date does not, by itself, give you a more generous cancellation right than section 9, except where mandatory law says otherwise.

If you believe you have a statutory right of withdrawal, contact us at karolina@likesweden.com and we will handle your request in line with applicable law.

11. Late arrival and no-show

  • The session begins and ends at the originally booked times. A late arrival normally shortens the session.
  • The photographers wait at the meeting point for 15 minutes.
  • If you contact us about unexpected circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to complete the session later the same day, but we cannot guarantee availability.
  • Arriving more than 15 minutes late without contacting us is treated as a no-show, and no refund is given.

12. Cancellation by the photographers

If we cancel because of illness, equipment failure or another situation outside our reasonable control, you may choose a new available date or a full refund of the photo-walk fee.

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not responsible for indirect costs such as transport, accommodation, missed activities or other travel expenses.

13. Children and animals

  • Children count towards the maximum of four participants.
  • The booking adult is responsible for supervising children and animals throughout the session.
  • Dogs are welcome on four routes: Haga, Slottsskogen, Götaplatsen & Avenyn, and Nya Varvet, Klippan & Röda Sten.
  • Dogs, including dogs on a lead, are not allowed inside Trädgårdsföreningen, so the Central Station & Trädgårdsföreningen route cannot be booked with a dog. Qualifying assistance and guide dogs are exempt under the applicable rules.
  • Children and dogs must be disclosed during booking.

14. Gallery delivery and image selection

  • A private online gallery is delivered within seven days of the session.
  • The gallery contains all the finished photographs selected by the photographers, and at least 20 professionally edited JPG photographs are included.
  • You may download 20 chosen digital photographs as part of the booked package.
  • Editing style and artistic selection remain at the photographers' professional discretion.
  • RAW files, rejected frames and test frames are not delivered.
  • Please download your photographs promptly. We will tell you how long the gallery stays online in your delivery email.

15. Additional purchases

Additional digital photographs and physical products such as prints, framed prints and canvases are optional and priced separately in the gallery. Physical products are made to order; delivery times are stated at the point of purchase.

16. Copyright and permitted use

Copyright in all photographs remains with the photographers. The package includes personal-use rights: you may print your photographs, share them privately and post them on your own personal social media.

Commercial, promotional, branding, influencer or business use requires a separate written licence and an individual quote. Please do not remove watermarks from preview images or edit the delivered photographs in a way that changes their character before sharing them publicly.

17. Complaints and service issues

If something goes wrong, tell us as soon as possible and at the latest within a reasonable time after you receive your gallery, by emailing karolina@likesweden.com. Describe the issue and, if relevant, the file names. We will respond and try to find a fair solution, which may include re-editing, additional images or a partial or full refund depending on the circumstances. Your statutory rights under Swedish consumer law apply in addition to this.

18. Personal data and privacy

We process the personal data you give us when booking (name, email, phone number where provided, session details and any information you choose to share about children, dogs, accessibility needs or the occasion) in order to perform the contract and to deliver your gallery. Photographs are personal data too, and your gallery is private and access-protected.

We keep booking and accounting records for as long as Swedish law requires. You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of your data, and you may contact the Swedish authority for data protection (IMY) if you are unhappy with how we handle it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

19. Voluntary portfolio consent

Portfolio consent is not required in order to book or to receive the service, and it is never a condition of delivery. You receive your complete private gallery first and choose your photographs.

Afterwards we may send you a separate email asking whether we may show a small number of photographs you have specifically approved. You choose which images and which channels, and you can refuse without any effect on your booking or your gallery. You can withdraw your consent for future use at any time by emailing karolina@likesweden.com; we will stop using the images going forward, although we cannot recall material already printed or already shared by third parties.

For photographs showing several identifiable adults we ask each adult for their own consent. For photographs of children we ask for the appropriate guardian consent and treat children's data with particular care.

20. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside their reasonable control, such as severe weather warnings, strikes, public restrictions, serious illness or infrastructure failure. If a session cannot take place for such a reason, you may choose a new available date or a refund of the photo-walk fee.

21. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for the photo walk, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory consumer legislation.

22. Applicable law and disputes

Swedish law applies. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence where EU rules give you that right. Nothing in these terms restricts your right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under mandatory law.

If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), www.arn.se, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, and we will take part in that procedure. Consumers resident in another EU country can also seek help from the European Consumer Centre (ECC) network. Free advice for consumers in Sweden is also available from Hallå konsument (hallakonsument.se).

23. Changes to these terms

The version of these terms you accepted at the time of booking is the version that applies to your session. We may update the terms for future bookings.
