Working draft. These terms are complete and ready to use as a basis, but they should be reviewed by a Swedish lawyer before publication. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer law.
1. Parties and how the contract is formed
The service is provided by Karolina Anna Pikus, sole trader (enskild firma), organisation number 950618-3764, Stjärnbildsgatan 120 lgh 1002, 415 67 Göteborg, Sweden (“we”, “us”, “the photographers”). You are the person who books the session (“you”, “the customer”).
A binding contract is formed when you complete the booking, accept these terms and payment is confirmed, and you receive a booking confirmation by email.
2. The service
The Göteborg Photo Walk is a private, one-hour, outdoor photo walk in Gothenburg for up to four participants, guided by two photographers using two professional cameras. It includes relaxed posing guidance and candid photography, at least 20 professionally edited JPG photographs, and a private online gallery delivered within seven days containing all the finished photographs we have selected.
You may download any 20 photographs from the gallery free of charge as part of the package. Additional digital photographs, professional prints, framed prints, canvases and other physical products may be purchased separately.
3. Price and payment
The price is fixed for the whole group and is stated on the booking page. Payment is collected in advance, in Swedish kronor (SEK), through our booking provider Cal.com. Prices shown in EUR, USD or PLN on the landing page are approximate reference conversions based on the store's current exchange rates and are not the amount charged.
4. Booking confirmation
Your booking is confirmed by email. Please check the date, time, route and meeting point immediately and tell us at once if anything is wrong.
5. Your responsibilities
- Arrive on time at the meeting point stated for your route.
- Tell us during booking how many people are joining, whether children are joining and whether a dog is joining.
- Dress for the weather and for walking outdoors.
- Follow reasonable safety instructions from the photographers, and respect traffic rules and other people in public spaces.
- Make sure every adult participant knows they will be photographed.
6. Route choice
You choose one of the five published routes. Routes are planned as comfortable one-hour walks and the exact path may vary slightly depending on weather, light, crowds, works or events. We cannot guarantee access to buildings, interiors or a particular seasonal flower display, and we cannot guarantee that any specific landmark will be photographed.
A location outside the five published routes must be agreed with us in writing before booking.
7. Special occasions
Ordinary birthdays and anniversaries can be booked directly. Please contact us by email before booking a proposal, a maternity session, a surprise or one-time moment that cannot be repeated, a group larger than four people, accessibility needs that may affect the route, a location outside the five routes, commercial or business use, or any unusual logistics. We will confirm in writing what is possible.
8. Outdoor conditions and weather
- The session takes place outdoors. Light rain and normal changeable Gothenburg weather do not automatically cancel a session.
- The photographers decide whether conditions are unsafe or unsuitable because of heavy rain, storms, extreme wind or another serious weather issue.
- If we cancel because of weather, you may choose a new available date or a full refund of the photo-walk fee.
- We will never pressure you to proceed in conditions we consider unsafe.
9. Cancellation and rescheduling by you
- More than 14 full days before the scheduled session: full refund, or one free rescheduling, as you prefer.
- From 14 days until 48 hours before the session: no refund, but one free rescheduling.
- Less than 48 hours before the session: no refund and no guaranteed rescheduling.
- A rescheduled session must take place within a maximum of two months from the original session date, subject to availability.
- Only one free rescheduling is included, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Documented exceptional circumstances (for example sudden illness with documentation) may be reviewed individually. Such a review is offered in good faith and does not create an automatic entitlement.
These are the terms we have agreed with you contractually. They do not replace or reduce any rights you may have under mandatory Swedish or EU consumer law.
10. Statutory right of withdrawal
A private photo walk is a service performed on a date and time agreed in advance, and services of that kind may fall within the exception to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for leisure activities supplied on a specific date or period. We do not claim with certainty that the withdrawal right never applies to this service, and its precise legal classification has not been finally determined.
Where a statutory right of withdrawal does apply and cannot lawfully be excluded, that right stands and takes precedence over the cancellation ladder in section 9. Booking a session less than 14 days before the date does not, by itself, give you a more generous cancellation right than section 9, except where mandatory law says otherwise.
If you believe you have a statutory right of withdrawal, contact us at karolina@likesweden.com and we will handle your request in line with applicable law.
11. Late arrival and no-show
- The session begins and ends at the originally booked times. A late arrival normally shortens the session.
- The photographers wait at the meeting point for 15 minutes.
- If you contact us about unexpected circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to complete the session later the same day, but we cannot guarantee availability.
- Arriving more than 15 minutes late without contacting us is treated as a no-show, and no refund is given.
12. Cancellation by the photographers
If we cancel because of illness, equipment failure or another situation outside our reasonable control, you may choose a new available date or a full refund of the photo-walk fee.
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, we are not responsible for indirect costs such as transport, accommodation, missed activities or other travel expenses.
13. Children and animals
- Children count towards the maximum of four participants.
- The booking adult is responsible for supervising children and animals throughout the session.
- Dogs are welcome on four routes: Haga, Slottsskogen, Götaplatsen & Avenyn, and Nya Varvet, Klippan & Röda Sten.
- Dogs, including dogs on a lead, are not allowed inside Trädgårdsföreningen, so the Central Station & Trädgårdsföreningen route cannot be booked with a dog. Qualifying assistance and guide dogs are exempt under the applicable rules.
- Children and dogs must be disclosed during booking.
14. Gallery delivery and image selection
- A private online gallery is delivered within seven days of the session.
- The gallery contains all the finished photographs selected by the photographers, and at least 20 professionally edited JPG photographs are included.
- You may download 20 chosen digital photographs as part of the booked package.
- Editing style and artistic selection remain at the photographers' professional discretion.
- RAW files, rejected frames and test frames are not delivered.
- Please download your photographs promptly. We will tell you how long the gallery stays online in your delivery email.
15. Additional purchases
Additional digital photographs and physical products such as prints, framed prints and canvases are optional and priced separately in the gallery. Physical products are made to order; delivery times are stated at the point of purchase.
16. Copyright and permitted use
Copyright in all photographs remains with the photographers. The package includes personal-use rights: you may print your photographs, share them privately and post them on your own personal social media.
Commercial, promotional, branding, influencer or business use requires a separate written licence and an individual quote. Please do not remove watermarks from preview images or edit the delivered photographs in a way that changes their character before sharing them publicly.
17. Complaints and service issues
If something goes wrong, tell us as soon as possible and at the latest within a reasonable time after you receive your gallery, by emailing karolina@likesweden.com. Describe the issue and, if relevant, the file names. We will respond and try to find a fair solution, which may include re-editing, additional images or a partial or full refund depending on the circumstances. Your statutory rights under Swedish consumer law apply in addition to this.
18. Personal data and privacy
We process the personal data you give us when booking (name, email, phone number where provided, session details and any information you choose to share about children, dogs, accessibility needs or the occasion) in order to perform the contract and to deliver your gallery. Photographs are personal data too, and your gallery is private and access-protected.
We keep booking and accounting records for as long as Swedish law requires. You can ask us for access, correction or deletion of your data, and you may contact the Swedish authority for data protection (IMY) if you are unhappy with how we handle it. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
19. Voluntary portfolio consent
Portfolio consent is not required in order to book or to receive the service, and it is never a condition of delivery. You receive your complete private gallery first and choose your photographs.
Afterwards we may send you a separate email asking whether we may show a small number of photographs you have specifically approved. You choose which images and which channels, and you can refuse without any effect on your booking or your gallery. You can withdraw your consent for future use at any time by emailing karolina@likesweden.com; we will stop using the images going forward, although we cannot recall material already printed or already shared by third parties.
For photographs showing several identifiable adults we ask each adult for their own consent. For photographs of children we ask for the appropriate guardian consent and treat children's data with particular care.
20. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside their reasonable control, such as severe weather warnings, strikes, public restrictions, serious illness or infrastructure failure. If a session cannot take place for such a reason, you may choose a new available date or a refund of the photo-walk fee.
21. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by mandatory law, our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for the photo walk, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent or gross negligence, or under mandatory consumer legislation.
22. Applicable law and disputes
Swedish law applies. If you are a consumer resident in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your own country of residence where EU rules give you that right. Nothing in these terms restricts your right to bring a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under mandatory law.
If we cannot resolve a complaint together, you may refer the matter to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes, Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), www.arn.se, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, and we will take part in that procedure. Consumers resident in another EU country can also seek help from the European Consumer Centre (ECC) network. Free advice for consumers in Sweden is also available from Hallå konsument (hallakonsument.se).
23. Changes to these terms
The version of these terms you accepted at the time of booking is the version that applies to your session. We may update the terms for future bookings.
